Google Page rank is based on back links. Back links are Links pointing to your website from another website. The more back links you have the higher your PR will be.

There are 5 Steps to Increase Google Page Rank.

1. Join forums, forums are a great way to achieve links to your website. In most forums you are allowed to have a signature and in your signature you can put a link to your website. But another important note to look on is making sure the forum is somewhat related to your website. You will still get credit if it’s not, but if it’s related to your website than you will be accomplishing two tasks at once.

You will be advertising for your website (bringing in targeted traffic) You will also be building your websites presence.

Your websites presence is very important to your survival. The more people see, or hear about your website the more credibility you will have and this increases your chances of having these visitors come back and possibly become leads.

2. Submit to search engine directories. Search engine directories are a good way to get a free link to your website. They also increase your chances at being listed higher on popular search engines like Google, and overture.Most search engine directories allow you to submit to their website for free. This will allow you to increase your web presence by being listed on another search engine, and it will also be a free link.

3. Using ezine ads (or newsletters). Creating an ezine will probably be the most beneficial step you can take to increasing your web presence. When you create an ezine you will be able to keep visitors coming back to your website for more by using signatures and giving special deals.

Ezine’s will also allow you to increase your back links. By creating an ezine you can submit your information about your ezine to an ezine directory. This directory will than link to your website(thus giving you a free link).

4. Creating and publishing articles. Articles are an easy source of generating new traffic. You can include your signature in your article. This will bring in more traffic from article submission directories.

Your signature usually consists of 4 to 8 lines. Usually the first line would be the title of the website that you are trying to advertise. The last line would be the link to the website and the lines in between these would be a sales pitch to draw your viewers into your website.

5. Links from related websites. Gaining links from related websites can be one of the most frustrating tasks you can attempt.

They are very easy to find, but can be somewhat difficult to obtain links from.

To find related websites, all you have to do is go to a search engine… say Google… and type in your subject. Maybe your website is based on ford mustangs.

You go to Google and type in ford mustangs, than you look around for pages that are somewhat related to your website. After you have done this (which should be very easy) you have to contact them in some way to get your link posted on their website. This can be the most difficult task because a lot of webmasters ignore e-mail’s from people requesting links because they don’t see the importance of it at the time. Some other reasons could be that they are rarely online, or they delete spam mail and sometimes delete their important emails in the process.

Important note: When looking for link partners don’t just link with websites that have a page rank of 4 or higher. Link with anyone and everyone you get a chance to. If you link to someone that has a page rank of zero, this will not hurt your page rank. It will only increase it because you are getting a link back to your website. Google doesn’t look at your back links page ranks to determine what yours is going to be. It simply looks at how many back links you have.

So if Google one day decided to link to a website that was just created and this website has a page rank of 0 and has a domain that goes something like this: mywebsite.geocities.com it’s page rank wouldn’t increase even though Google’s page rank is 10, it’s rank would still be zero because it would only have that one back link.

If you do not remember the password or never set one up, type the 10-digit code located on the modem to create a new password.

After starting your blog with Blogger or WordPress, make it accessible from your main web site.  This helps in search engine placement and can drive a considerable amount of traffic to your blog.  Have a clear goal in mind for your blogging with one caveat.  Always use your blog to provide value.  Whether through market information, content, or resources, your blog needs to give before it gets.  Once you've set a goal for yourself commit to that goal and work towards it each and every week.

Step 9: Wait for 2 to 3 minutes and go for Facebook home page and you will see an invitation for Facebook timeline.

You are done it. New Facebook time line will be available to you now click on the publish button to experience it.

         Configure PTCL Broadband DSL Modem ZyXEL

Step: 1) Connection to the Splitter, Power Connection & LAN cable.
         1: Line hole connects to PTCL wire or Wall phone jack (RJ-11 Jack).
        2: Modem hole connects to the DSL jack of the ADSL CPE (Customer Presmises
            Equipment).
       3: Phone hole connects to a telephone set.
       4: Connect the power Adapter to the AC power plug and attach the connector
           of adapter to the CPE and switch it on.
      5: Attach one end of LAN wire (RJ-45) to the LAN interface of CPE and the
          other end to the LAN wire to the Lan interface of computer,s LAN card.
      6: Link indicator lights will lit up and show the connectivity. ADSL light
          will start blinking and soon will be static as a sign of connectivity
          with system, if the line is properly jumpered in PTCL premises with the
        DSLAM (Digital Subcriber line Access Multiplexer). Joint less and direct
       cable line from the nearest PTCL pole or cabinet must be connecting to
       your splitter and then all the phone extensions must be taken from the
       phone hole of splitter. The drop wire distance from PTCL pole or cabinet
       must not be ideally more then 50 meters.(Twisted pair wire can be longer).

Step: 2) ADSL Configuration in CPE and Computer
      DHCP is enabled by default; there is no need for IP setting in LAN Connection,
     Open Internet Explore and write "192.168.1.1" in the address bar and press enter.
     There must not be any proxy setting in the Internet Explore.

Step: 3) Following screen will appear. Enter the password "1234" and press login

Step: 4) Next screen is for changing the password of DSL Router. Click on Ignore for
retaining default password.

Step: 5) Next screen is for Wizard Setup. Select "Go to Advanced Setup" and press Apply:

Step: 6) Following Screen will apear. Now Select "Network" on the left tabs.

Step: 7) After that select "WAN" Then "Internet Connection" Tab.             Then select "PPPoE" from Enacpsulation and give Username and Password
            and VPI must be "0" and VCI = 103 after all click Apply as shown bellow in picture.

        (NOTE: if u dont know about ur User name and Password which was given you at          the time of placing the DSL u can ask your username and password from free Help          line of PTCL 1218)

Step: 8) Select "Advanced" and then "Dynamic DNS" and check "Active Dynamic DNS", then press Apply.

Step: 9) Select "UPnP" and check "Active the Universal Plug and play(UPnP) Feature", Press Apply

Step: 10) Check the assignment of IP Address under WAN Information as given bellow.

Now your DSL Internet is ready to use as shown in picture above but if there,s no any IP(Internet Protocol) as shown then make sure that your User name and Password is correct? check also your phone line is working correctly:

Configure PTCL Broadband DSL Modem Huawei (Echolife HG510)

Step:1) Open Internet Explore and write "192.168.1.1" in address bar and press Enter. There must not be any proxy setting.

after that a small pop up will open as shown in the figure below and will ask "User name" and "Password " for opening the modem configure web.
     Enter User name: "admin" and Password: "admin" and press OK.

Step: 2) Following page will be displayed after entring the correct User name and  Password:

Step: 3) Click the Device Info link on the left hand side tabs, more options will be shown. Click statistics and further more options will be shown, among them select ADSL.

Step: 4) Clicking ADSL will show ADSL line parameters, Note the SNR margin and Line Attenuation. SNR must be higher then 08 dB and line Attenuation must be less then 45 dB for establishing a stable DSL connection.

Step: 5) Select "Advanced Setup" from the left hand tabs and following windows will be displayed.

Step: 6) "WAN (wide area network) Setup" windows is shown displaying the list of default connection. Check all of them except ist one and click remove button as shown bellow.

Step: 7) After that click the edit button which shown on remaining one connection.

Step: 8) Now enter the value of VPI =0 and VCI= 103 for copper (NOTE: For ONU use VPI=8 and VCI=81) and check " Enable Quality of Service" and click Next as shown under:

Step: 9) Now Select "PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE" from the given options:

Step: 10) Enter the User name and Password which is given u at the time of placing the order but normally PTCL uses your number as your User name e.g(05********) and also Password uses as "ptcl". (NOTE: For configure your DSL modem you must have to know your User name and Password if you dont know about your User name and Password you can ask your User name and Password from free help line of PTCL 1218.

Step: 11) Uncheck the "Enable Firewall" checkbox and Click next as shown bellow:

Step: 12) "WAN(wide are network) Summary" page will displayed showing the setting/configurations, Click Save button to save the configurations.

Step: 13) After that Click Save/Reboot, a message window is shown, Click OK to save changes.

Step: 14) DSL Router reboot window is shown.Wait until the next windows is shown displaying the Device Info.

Step: 15) Now your DSL Internet is ready to use as shown in picture bellow but if there,s no any IP(Internet Protocol) as shown in front of Default gateway then make sure that your User name and Password is correct? More if there,s no any IP shown in front any server or gateway then check your phone line is work correctly?
